Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss a blog written by a medical doctor concerning hand sanitizers. Apparently the is a growing problem of children swallowing these products and becoming extremely ill. The products are usually about 62% alcohol by weight a single 2 ounce container has as much alcohol as 4 shots of vodka. In 2005 the American Association of Poison Control Centers reported nearly 12,000 cases and 6600 have been reported so far this year.

Dr. Wallach starts the show today discussing the recent diagnosis of a cancerous tumor in Senator Ted Kennedy's brain.  Doc outlines several nutritional strategies to combat cancers of this type.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a research study done at the University of Toronto.  The study followed women who had been diagnosed with breast cancer.  The results were that those with low vitamin D blood levels upon diagnosis were 94% more likely to have the cancer spread.  They were also 74% more likely to die from their cancer when compared to women who did not have low blood levels of vitamin D.
