Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning private practitioner going broke. Apparently many private practice family physicians, cardiologists and oncologists are struggling financially. Mainly because of the 35 to 40% cuts in Medicare reimbursements to doctors. Medicare has also cut reimbursements on expensive cancer treatment drugs. Which used to be a cash cow for oncologists who would buy these drugs cheaply in bulk from drug companies.
