Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing a report out from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). That states because of the Covid 19 life expectancy in the U.S. has now dropped by over 2 years. With now more that 23 million infections and over 88,000 deaths. Contending that when the U.S. switched from heating and cooking from wood to electricity it was the beginning of mineral deficiency health challenges. Prior to this people cooked and heated with wood putting the ash (minerals) in their gardens.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding magnesium deficiencies. The article states that at least half of U.S. citizens are deficient in this essential mineral. Experts recommending 320 to 420 milligrams daily. Recommending foods that are rich in the mineral. Also outlining health challenges that signal a deficiency in this essential nutrient.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing another spike in the Covid 19 numbers. Comparing Japan and Mexico with the numbers in Japan much lower than those of Mexico. Also comparing Florida and Taiwon with similar populations and Florida having greater numbers of infections and deaths. Doc asserting this is due to a difference in diets. Those with lower Covid infections eating rice instead of wheat.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing the fact that the U.S. had over 4000 people die from Covid 19 yesterday. The largest one day total since the pandemic began last year. Comparing the totals in Hong Kong to the totals of the state of Arizona one of the hardest hit states in America. Contend the reason the difference is because the U.S. eats a lot of wheat products that are loaded with gluten. While Hong Kong residents consume a lot of rice with no gluten. Asserting that the gluten destroys the villi in the intestines making it dfficult for the body to absorb nutrients.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding the health benefits of the spice curcumin. Outlining it's ability to help the body prevent certain diseases. Curcumin has anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic and anti-cancer properties. Researchers recommend the use of curcumin as a pure compound or an extract in preparations.
