Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Stating that kids are starting sports teams citing the statistics of how many die while playing or practicing. Outlining his work in China study of cardiomyopathy heart attacks.

The story cites a specific case where a woman wanted permanent birth control. Her doctor recommended Essure and no other options. Following the procedure to install the device she was in horrible pain and was chronically fatigued. To remove the device she had a full hysterectomy losing uterus and fallopian tubes. She later found out that her doctor was the highest paid in the state. Her doctor Dr. Cindy Basinski was paid by Bayer $168,068 to promote this device.

Researchers found that participants who were able to lower their top number to 120 lowered their risk of dementia by 19%. Outlining that lifestyle changes such as eating a well balanced diet, lowering salt intake, limit alcohol, exercise regularly, manage stress, maintain healthy weight, quit smoking and take medications as directed. Doc disagress with with the lowered salt intake and medications.

With rate increasing in recent years while the rates in Germany, France, Japan and England have been decreasing in the last two decads. A USA Today investigation found that nearly half could have been prevented. In fact the U.S. ranks with other developed nations in maternal mortality rates such as Argentina, Brunei, Chile and Uruguay.
