Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Monologue

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing a report out about all of the false positive mammograms. Citing the numbers of women who are told they have cancer when the actually don't have cancer. Also outlining his speech at a Tesla event where he explains his theory of why reefs are dying. Namely all of the major rivers being dammed up blocking silt from going into the oceans. The silt is what feeds algae and the algae consumes carbon dioxide which is killing the reefs.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study of ineffective medical practices. Researchers analyzed 3000 randomized controlled trials from 2003 to 2017. Looking at the effectivness of medications, medical products and services. Finding 396 medical reversals practices that are no longer used because they proved to not be effective. Many of these had been paid for by taxpayer dollars through Medcare and Medicaid.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing longevity. Stating that some long lived peoples do so because they are getting minerals. Either from the plants they eat or some getting the minerals from drinking glacial waters. Conteniding that nearly all common health challenges are caused by nutritional deficiencies. Asserting that everyone should be supplementing with all 90 essential nutrients.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about essential oils. There are several essential oils that that have anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties. Oils such as eucalyptus, marjoram, peppermint, clary sage, lavender, roman chamomile, almond, grapeseed, ginger and tea tree all can help with sore muscles. Recommended instead of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) which have numorous side effects.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Contending that he sued the FDA to require selenium be added to infant formulas. Asserting that now SIDS rarely ever happens because the selenium is now in the formulas. Citing several other "wins" by Youngevity that helps reduce the incidence of several health challenges.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a study from Tufts University. A study of nearly 4000 adults found that those who got less than six hours of sleep daily had a higher risk of cardiovascular disease. Compared to those who got seven to eight hours of sleep those getting less than six were 27% more likely to develop preclinical atherosclerosis. They also found those getting more than eight hours of sleep had an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
