Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a report out that states if more women globally would breast feed their babies over 800,000 lives could be saved and 13% of all deaths of children under five. The report analyzed 1300 studies that focused on the levels, trends and benefits of breast feeding. Finding that one third of respiratory infections and half of all diarrhea episodes in low and middle income countries could be avoided. While in high income countries breast feeding cuts the risk of sudden death syndrome cut by one third. The report found that as low and middle income countries became more westernized breast feeding began to decline.

According to the CDC over 90,000 people die every year from medical mistakes. Doc asserts that if this was any other industry it would be shut down by the government. Newman gave a patient morphine and when she passed out he fondled her while pleasuring himself. He didn't know she still aware of her surrounding so she collected DNA samples and told other doctors before leaving the hospital.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show outlining the whole story of how doctors how demonized natural fats and dairy. Stating that Crisco was originally invented by the Germans during WWI. Designed to be a smokeless synthetic lubricant for submarines. Then a couple of groups tried to use it to make soap. Finally after Procter and Gamble couldn't sell it as soap they gave 1.7 million dollars to a newly formed American Heart Association. Who then sent a doctor named Ancel Keyes around promoting Crisco as a "healthy" alternative to cooking with fat, butter, eggs and oils. Linking these to increased risk of high cholesterol and clogged arteries.

One person is brain dead and four others may be permanently disabled with neurological damage after taking part in a drug trial. The trial has now been stopped after the Phase 1 drug trial harmed participants. The pain drug was meant to treat anxiety and motor disorders.
