Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss two research studies on the impact of diet on heart health. The first study found that people eating a "Western" diet loaded with junk food comprised of meat, fried and salty foods had a 35% increased risk of heart attack. This compared to those eating a "prudent" diet loaded with fruits and vegetables. Doc asserts that meat is ok depending on how it is cooked. Citing several research studies that support his theory that meat protein in the diet is neccessary for good health. Next they discuss a Japanese study that found eating chicken legs with the collagen significantly lowered blood pressure a known contributor to heart disease.
