Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about CT scans. Studies have found that a single CT scan increases a persons risk of cancer by %24. That percentage can increase to as much as %35 after multiple scans. An abdominal scan gives a person 30 times the amout of radiation of what a person is exposed to from natural background radiation.

Outlining several common health challenges and stating that they are due to nutritional deficiencies. Stating that mother was missing nutrients one nutrient or another that lead to the embryo not forming properly. Contending that everyone should be supplementing with all 90 essential nutrients.

Milk thistle has been used as a herbal medicine for over 2000 years. It's active compound silymarin has beneficial effects such as liver protection, as an antioxidant, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Used to treat OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), hepatitis C, prostate cancer, rosacea and inflammation.

Contending people will be shocked at the size of their fruits and vegetables. Not too mention all of the nutrients that will be sucked up by the plants.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a woman who was charged nearly $50,000 for one ER visit. The women was bitten by a stray cat she was trying to feed. Later over concerns of a rabies infection she called the health department but they were closed. So she went to the ER getting two injections and never even seeing a doctor. She went home pleased with her care. Then the $48,512 bill came in the mail with $46,422 of the total being for one injection. That injection normally costs between $3000 to $4000 according to the CDC.
