Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing the Ojibwe indians. An Anishinaabe tribe that don't follow a normal native diet of consuming a lot of wheat products. Instead they eat corn products with no gluten. Overall Indian nations are being hit at about an 8% infection rate by the Covid 19 virus. While the Ojibwe tribe only have about a 3% infection rate because they are not eating gluten. Supporting Doc's theory that the gluten is predisposing people to be affected more negatively than other groups.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about the negative affects of consuming margarine. Made from oils that oxidize through heat and light. Predominantly made up of polyunsaturated fats. Compared to natural butter that is rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, E and K along with other essential nutrients and minerals. Most margarines are also made from GMOs that many people are trying to avoid.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing the Covid 19 numbers in the U.S. Stating that there have been 22 million infections and over 370,000 deaths. Comparing these numbers against some Asian countries. Which have a lot less infections and deaths compared to the U.S. Stating this is because of the differences in diets. Contending Americans eat a lot of grains that contain gluten. Which destroys the intestines and the body's ability to make white blood cells to fight the virus. While Asian countries eat rice and sweet potatoes that don't contain gluten.

Contending the U.S. went ot war over that action. Asserting that Americans are missing the boat on the action taken. Recommending that people should avoid gluten. Because gluten damages the intestines compromising the body's ability to absorb nutrients. Which kills the bone marrow and the body's ability to produce white blood cells and platelets to fight the virus.

The study found that the polyphenols found in blue berries can reduce the inflammation associated with RA (rheumatoid arthritis).
