Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study of patient drug overdoses. Researchers looked at data from private insurers on over 50,000 chronic pain patients. Finding 91% of patients who suffered on overdose of an opioid pain killer was given the drug again following their first overdose. Also finding that after a two year follow up patients who had an overdose were twice as likely to have another overdose compared to those who stopped taking the drug.Callers
