Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding ways to reduce the risk of dementia. One study found that eating foods rich in flavonols reduced the risk of dementia. Here some foods rich in flavonols;apples, apricots, beans, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, chives, kale, leeks, pears, onions, red grapes, cherries and teas. These foods rich in flavonols have antioxidant properties and prevent oxidative stress on cells.
