Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing the leading causes of death in the U.S. Stating that heart disease is the number one cause of death. With cancer coming in second and medical errors being the third leading cause of death. Contending that Americans would not put up with this in any other industry.
Pearls of Wisdom
Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study of rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers found that rats with rheumatoid arthritis given a red chili extract had reduced inflammation. Also saw a 50 to 60% reduction in edema and prevented the development of autoimmune inflammation. Doc asserts that RA in not an autoimmune disease rather an infection with a bug call mycoplasma.
