Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing Black History Month. Outlining the details of his book “Black Gene Lies”. Asserting that common diseases found in the black community that have been deemed genetic are not genetic. Contending that diseases deemed to be genetic are actually due to nutritional deficiencies. Stating these can be prevented and reversed through nutritional supplementation.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study on breast cancer. Finding that people who were depressed had a 32% more likely to die from cancer in general. Another study found that women taking SSRI (selective seratonin reuptake inhibitor) drugs had a 620% increased rate of breast cancer in women who took the drugs over a four year period. Between 1998 and 2008 the amount of people taking antidepressants rose by 400%. At the same time the rate of breast cancer also rose.
