Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing a case of a 22 year old woman who died of a cardiomyopathy heart attack during a marathon. Stating that he is an expert on this because has thousands of autopsies of people who have died from cardiomyopathy heart attacks. Contending these happpen because of a deficiency of a single nutrient. Asserting these can be avoided through nutritional supplementation.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study from the National Institutes of Health. It’s long been known that eating ultra processed foods leads to several health challenges including cancer, cardiovascular disease and early death. This strictly controlled study found those eating ultra processed foods consumed 508 more calories and gained two pounds in two weeks. Those eating whole made from scratch foods actually lost two pounds in two weeks.
