Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a study of statin drugs. The study found that women taking statin drugs long term are twice as likely to develop type 2 diabetes. Another study found that postmenopausal women on stating increased their risks of type 2 diabetes by 71%. The study tracked the women for nearly ten years as part of the national Women’s Health Initiative.
