Monologue

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing several common health challenges including osteoporosis, RA, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. Stating that people should test for these at home so if the do have one or more it won’t end up on their permanent record. Because they are all due to nutritional deficiencies and can be reversed through supplementation.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a study from Northwestern University. The study found that women who got laparoscopic surgery instead of the traditional hysterectomy were four times more likely to a recurrence. Even with this new knowledge many cancer centers still have not gone back to the more invasive hyterectomy. Researchers believe it could be that in the laparoscopic the abdomin is pumped full of air so the surgeon can see things.
