Asserting that medical mistakes are the third leading cause of death in the U.S. Citing the numbers that over 2 million patients are killed, infected or injured yearly.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a recent warning from the FDA about the fluoroquinolone familiy of antibiotics. With the most well known Ciprofloxacin (or Cipro) at the center of the warning. After case studies and adverse event reports the FDA found a link between comas from extremely low blood pressure were linked to the drug. Other side effects included mental health problems.
