Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing the value of doing home lab tests. Asserting that if people do tests for things such as diabetes at home then the results don’t end up of their permanent record. Not to mention saving the money that would have been spent on a doctor’s office visit. Stating that any tests done at the doctor’s office can easily be done at home.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a study of antibiotic use worldwide. Finding that between 2000 and 2015 worldwide antibiotic use increased 79%. Most of the increased use was in low income and middle income countries. In fact in that same time frame the use in the U.S. actually declined. The findings published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
