Monologue

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing the Texas shooting. Contending there had been a long history of the shooter having mental problems. Also citing the case of two Texas counties. One county had a history of a lot of violent acts including domestic abuse, beatings and murders. The other county had very little to no violent acts. The difference between the counties the one without violence had a lot of a certain mineral in the water. The violent county had very little of the mineral in the water.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about cancer. The President’s Cancer Panel released a report identifying everyday chemicals that are linked to an increased risk of cancer. The article outlines eleven of these chemicals found in everyday objects. Things like vinyl plastics, food containers, diesel exhaust, lead and pesticides. Another study found that shift workers who don’t keep regular schedules have an increased risk of cancer.
