Monologue

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing a news article about a report that states middle age people will not live as long as their parents. Asserting that this is because of poor diets and lifestyles without nutritional supplements. Contending that the nutrients aren’t in the food any longer. Stating that their are only three minerals added to the soils that crops where crops are grown.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article that outlines ways to lose weight. Some of the tips are pretty lame like brushing your teeth after dinner so you mouth will have that minty taste and you’re less likely to eat. Smaller plates so your portions will be smaller and filling half of your plate with fruits and vegetables. Eating foods that have a lot of water in them like apples, celery, kiwis and cucumbers. Eating eggs because they are low in calories and high in protein meaning people would be less likely to eat other less healthy foods.
