Dr. Wallach talks about ways to "recession-proof" your life.  Contending that one way is to educate yourself about your healthcare and avoid the medical system.  Another is have multiple income streams through home-based businesses.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a couple of recent news articles.  The first concerns a study that contends women put up to 175 chemicals on their bodies daily through the use of cosmetics, gels, lotions and creams.  Second they discuss an outbreak of measles that occured in a doctors office.  Finally they discuss a story about a practice by health insurer Blue Cross of California of sending letters to doctors asking to be notified of conditions of new patients.  The intent was to use the information to cancel policies.
