Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss a news article regarding a study of inflammation. The study found eating a handful of nuts five times a week reduced inflammation in the participants of the study. Researchers took blood samples from over 5000 people looking for three different biomarkers for inflammation. Finding those eating nuts had 20% lower levels of C-reactive protein compared to those not eating nuts. Also they had 16% lower levels of interleukin a biomarker for inflammation. Eating lots of nuts didn’t affect the third biomarker known as TNFR2.
