Monologue

Pharmacist Ben Fuchs fills in for Dr. Wallach starting the show discussing a recent article claiming vitamins are a waste of money.  Ben asserts this is totally false that without vitamins we cannot live.  Explaining that processed foods these days are almost devoid of nutrients of any kind much less vitamins.  Stating that everyone should be taking some kind of vitamin and mineral supplement to maintain optimal health.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Ben Fuchs discuss a news article that outlines beneficial aspects of common holiday foods.  Interestingly the experts aren't recommending eating these foods but rather using them topically for good skin health.  They also discuss a second article that outlines many of the reasons why people get depressed during the winter months.
