Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a report released by the non-profit consumer group ProPublica. The report states that a small group of 913 doctors are predominantly prescribing name-brande drugs to Medicare patients. In 2011 alone this cost taxpayers an extra $300 million when generic drugs were available. In fact the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission reports that $1.3 billion a year in seven drug categories.
