Monologue

Dr. Wallach starts the show citing statistic regarding the medical industry. Stating that according to government statistics some 15,000 Medicare patients die every month in the U.S. Doc asserts that if any other industry such as plumbers killed that many people every month the government would shut them down. Contending that the medical industry has legislated itself into a protected monopoly.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning a study on vitamin D deficiencies. The study found that higher levels of vitamin D through supplementation caused muscles to recover quicker. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to poor bone health and muscle fatigue.
