Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing a news article on an increase in child sports injuries in both girls and boys. The story outlines several ways to prevent these injuries such as the use of helmets and joint braces. Doc asserts that he was hoping they would include nutritional supplementation as a way to support health joints, tendons and muscles. Citing several ways that proper nutritional supplementation can help prevent injuries and heal quickly after an injury.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study of a link to chlorinated water and increased risk of allergies. Researchers from Albert Einstein College of Medicine observed a corresponding rise in chlorine use and food allergies. Finding adults with high levels of dichlorophenol in their urine were 80% more likely to have food allergies compared to adults with lower levels. CDC data also states there has been an 18% overall increase in food allergies between 1997 and 2007.
