Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing the recent mass killings by people with mental disorders. Doc contends that trying outlaw gun is not the answer asserting that no one is looking at violent games played by young people, how much sugar these kids are consuming or how many energy drinks. Also stating that these kids need to be institutionalized.

　

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning a research study on Alzheimer's disease. The study found that people over the age of 65 with the highest blood levels of HDL (high-density lipoprotein) are 60% less likely to develop Alzheimer's in the four years of the study.
