Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing a news story concerning recent deaths linked to "5 Hour" energy drink. Some thirteen deaths have been linked to this product in the past year. Asserting that this product nearly twice the amount of caffeine as is allowed in soft drinks. Recommending Youngevity energy products "Rebound FX", "Pollen Burst" and "Pure 3X" instead of these other products.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article on type 2 diabetes. The "Morbidity and Mortalilty" report released by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that in less than twenty years the prevalence of diagnosed diabetes rose 100% in 18 states with the rate rising 50% in 42 states. At the top of that list is Oklahoma with and increase of 226%.
