Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing the problem of ADD/ADHD. Contending the disorder is caused by a poor diet with too much sugar and nutritional deficiencies. Also asserting that treating it with drugs is not the proper method of treatment.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a recent news story concerning the growing diabetes epidemic in the U.S. A study recently found that 12% of the $645 billion spent on healthcare in 2005 was to treat diabetes. In 2005 $9.88 billion was spent on diabetes drugs that figure is projected to increase by 60-68% by the year 2009.
