Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing the impending 80 million "baby boomers" that are expected to fuel epidemics of arthritis, diabetes, heart disease and Alzheimers. Doc contends that each person in America is responsible for their own healthcare. Because these impending epidemics are caused by people listening to the advise of MDs.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a research study on statin drugs. The study found that patients who had already had an aneurysm type of stroke centered in one of the four brain lobe were more likely to have a second stroke if they are on statins. This compared to those who had a previous stroke but were not on statin drugs. Researchers believe the risks out weigh any heart benefits from the drug.
