Dr. Wallach starts the show discuss a news article regarding rising healthcare costs. Those headed to retirement or already retired are expected to pay $240,000 to pay for healthcare during retirement. Constituting 35% of their retirement income not including any kind of extended care expenses.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study of psoriasis. Researchers have long known of a link between the skin disease psoriasis and increased risk of cardiovascular disease. In this study mice were engineered to develope a skin condition similar to psoriasis. They were then able to see that if the skin condition was reversed so was cardiovascular rist too.
