The story certered around a young girl who had to be hospitalized after eating a light bulb. The story contended that Pica is a rare disorder however Dr. Wallach disagrees. Asserting that people who binge eat food items such as chips and junk food actually have a form of Pica.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news story concerning a report from the American Academy of Pediatrics. The report is a widening of the guidelines for ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Previously the guidelines targeted children ages 6 to 12 now under the new guidelines children ages 4 to 18 are targeted. The report also recommends drugs if behavioral interventions don't show improvement.
