Monologue

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing coronary artery and heart diseases. Contending these diseases are preventable through proper diet and nutrition using the mighty 90. Also asserting that they can be reversed as well without drugs and surgeries.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach continue discussing heart health and citing statistics from a news article on heart operations and survival rates. The study found that patients who undergo heart valve operations do better if they have private insurance. This compared to individuals who have the same procedure but are uninsured or on Medicaid. In fact those using Medicaid generally had longer average hospital stays at higher costs. They also had more complications following surgery.
