Doug Winfrey and JoAnne Conaway discuss a news story concerning new FDA guidelines on the antidepressant Paxil. Earlier this year the label was amended to warn of suicidal thoughts in children and adolescents taking the drug. Now the FDA is considering amending the "black box" warning to patients up to age 24. As well as recommending all patients regardless of age be monitored especially when starting the drug.
