Dr. Wallach discusses the fact the "Baby Boomer" group is 80 million strong and moving into the later stages of their lives. Doc asserts that as they age doctors will increasing want to perform a variety of surgical procedures such as hip and knee joint replacement. He contends that these are not necessary if people have good diets and a good nutritional supplement plan.
Pearls of Wisdom
Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a couple of news articles regarding germs. The first concerns an article concerning a microbiologist that took swab samples from two different cars. Finding literally thousands of germs on the seats, dashboards and floorboards. The second article regards a recent push by the WHO (World Health Organization) to get hospital staff to use an alcohol solution to clean their hands instead of soap and water. The hope is to reduce the 1.4 million infections contracted daily in hospitals throughout the world.
