Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing the invention of electric hair clippers. Stating once they were on the market people stopped going to the barber. Using the electric hair fathers and mothers clipped their children's hair. Wives trimmed their husbands hair basically "do-it-yourself" hair cutting. Asserting people should take the same approach to their healthcare. Stating most tests done in a doctors office can be done safely and effectively at home.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach begin the show discussing a news article about insurance fraud. A California couple along with doctors and pharmacist bilked insurance companies out of $40 million in four years. Tanya Moreland King and Christopher King recruited doctors to prescribe assorted creams. Pharmacists then dispensed these non-FDA approve creams that had no known medical benefits. Buying the creams for $15 to $40 per tube. They then billed patients workers compensation insurance carriers $250 and $700 dollars per tube.
