Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a study from Harvard University. The study of 5300 flight attendants and 2600 people of similar income and education levels. Finding that the flight attendant got several types of cancer at much higher rates compared to general population group. The female flight attendatnts getting breast cancer at 50% higher rate than the general population group. In addition melanoma rates were four times higher than the general population group. The rates held true for male flight attendants. Researcher suspect it could be exposure to known carcinogens at the work place. One carcinogen is extended exposure to cosmic ionizing radiation found at higher altitudes.Callers
