About 500 customers are without power this morning in the day valley neighborhood of Aptos after a tree came down on top of a power pole at around 5-am.
Witnesses say there was a large explosion and a fire… the fire is out and no injuries are reported.
Day valley road is now closed at this time and p-g and e crews are expected to be on scene within a few hours with power restoration expected around 10:15 this morning.
