Tomorrow is being called a “Day of Action” in both Salinas, and on the Monterey Peninsula. Members of the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office, and volunteers who wish to help out, are slated to check specific businesses and establishments, to make sure they have posted human trafficking notices ….as is required by a law that went into effect in January of 2018.
The posters, which are in English, Spanish and Tagalog, explain that human trafficking is basically modern-day slavery, and that the phone number for the national human trafficking resource center is:
1-888-373-7888.
