The Nancy Ausonio Mammography Center in Salinas now offers 3-D mammography. The 3-D exam offers more accurate results, and provides a more comfortable experience. 3-D imaging pans through dense tissue addressing multiple angles, versus 2-D imaging, which has a limited ability to view dense tissue. This technology will help avoid the need for biopsies.
