A State-Of-The-Art D.N.A. lab is now slated to be constructed on the Central Coast. Santa Cruz county’s sheriff Jim Hart, who has been working on getting such a facility for the last couple years, says it could make it possible to get D.N.A. results in just 2 days, instead of having to wait weeks or months to get results.
Although it will be a while yet before the facility will be completely up and running, preliminary D.N.A. testing could begin in the facility as early as next January.
