The latest information from cal-fire on the c-z-u lightening fire indicates 800 structures are charred, out of those 800 structures… 544 are single family homes. 82-thousand acres are lost. The good news… 26-percent containment that’s up from 24 percent last night .
A spokesman from the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Department says they will try and open and re-populate more areas as the day goes on but he did not give a date or time when folks in the San Lorenzo Valley will be allowed back in.
