Caltrans began an emergency culvert repair project in Monterey County today. Recent storms have caused culvert and embankment erosion on Highway 1 at Ventana and Post Ranch, just two miles south of Big Sur Park and campgrounds. Roadwork is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. under one-way traffic control flaggers. Motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes. Work will be completed on Wednesday December 31st weather permitting.
