There have been 96 Covid-19-related deaths in the California prison system, 4 of those were inmates at the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, and 1 was an inmate at Salinas Valley State Prison. 417 inmates at C.T.F. currently have the virus…..with 407 of those being reported in the last 2 weeks. There are also reportedly 62 staff members with active cases….46 of those were reported in the last 2 weeks. There are 31 active cases in the prison population at S.V.S.P.
