Cal-State Monterey Bay has had their accreditation re-affirmed…and for the longest period achievable. The Western Association Of Schools And Colleges, that confers the accreditation, commended C.S.U.M.B. for the school’s commitment to the whole student, it’s culture of innovation and regional stewardship, and the increase in their graduation rate.
Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation assures the educational community, the general public and other organizations and agencies that an institution has clearly defined objectives appropriate to education, that the institution has established conditions under which their achievement can reasonably be expected, that it appears in fact to be accomplishing them substantially, that it is so organized, staffed and supported that it can be expected to continue to do so and that the institution demonstrates and meets criteria and accreditation standards.
