A close call Christmas day when a man apparently tried to go for a swim in Los Gatos creek.
Witnesses say the identified man was pulled from the creek by a group of bystanders who saw him struggling in the water near the spillway at Camden Avenue and San Tomas Expressway.
Firefighters arrived on scene and used ropes to rescue the man from the steep cement slope of the spillway and he was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
