A Capitola neighborhood awoke to gunfire Saturday morning. At about 6:37 a.m. patrol units arrived near the corner of Plum Street and Rosedale Avenue after receiving several reports of shots fired from area residents. Officers combed the area and collected shell casings. Witnesses say that a vehicle identified only as white in color fled the scene. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Capitola Police Department.
