2-people were arrested in santa cruz county on Tuesday on separate charges of counterfeiting money, and possession of drugs. Santa cruz county sheriff’s deputies were conducting a probation search at a residence on the 1-hundred block of Coloma street, when they noticed suspicious-looking bills. The 20, 50, and 100-dollar-bills were determined to be fake. 48-year-old Benjamin espinoza was arrested for being in possession of counterfeit money, and possession of an apparatus to make the phony bills. Meanwhile, 44-year-old cindy Peterson was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine. The 2 were booked into santa cruz county jail.
