NEARLY FORTY THOUSAND POUNDS OF COOKED CHICKEN WAS RECALLED EARLY SATURDAY MORNING BY COSTCO. THE ANNOUNCEMENT, MADE BY THE AGRICULTURAL DEPARTMENT, RELATED TO THE STORE’S RECALL OF NINE THOUSAND ROTISSERIE FOSTER FARM CHICKENS, AND RELATED KIRKLAND FARM SOUP, CHICKEN SALAD AND LEG QUARTERS, THAT WERE PURCHASED BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 11 AND SEPTEMBER 23RD, AT THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO LOCATION. AS OF SATURDAY, OFFICIALS AT COSTCO WERE UNABLE TO BE REACHED. HOWEVER, A RECORDED MESSAGE WARNS CUSTOMERS THAT ANY LEFTOVER ITEMS FROM FOSTER FARMS, SHOULD BE RETURNED, OR DISCARDED.
