6-correctional officers in Monterey county are a step closer to getting their jobs back. The officers were fired from Salinas valley state prison after they were accused of lying about an attack on a prisoner that took place in 2003. a Monterey county judge filed papers last week, indicating that he would stand by a decision by the state personnel board, to reinstate the officers.
